You did the right thing to go and see the GP when you noticed this lump in your groin and it's good that the GP was thorough and you have had an ultrasound that confirmed it was a swollen lymph node. I am so sorry to hear that you don't feel you are being taken seriously and that you were not given the option of having a biopsy. It sounds like they didn't think it would be necessary and I can understand why you are still feeling worried especially given you have experienced weight loss as well as unexplained bruises.

Make sure you mention all this to them that they are aware of the unexplained bruises all over your legs (feel free to show them too so that they can see them) as well as the extreme tiredness you have been feeling. It's good that an infection has been ruled out and I hope that you can get some clarity soon and an explanation as to what it causing these symptoms. It's normal to worry about lymphoma but there are so many other things it could also be so try if you can not to anticipate what it might be.

If you feel like you are not getting anywhere or that your concerns are not being taken seriously, it's always a good idea to seek a second opinion. Other members of our community may have been in a similar place before and had similar symptoms and worries about lymphoma and I hope that they will pop by shortly and share their experience with you.
