Hi. I had a mammogram which needed further investigation following my routine breast screening appt. I then had to have a core needle biopsy and due to the pallinoma being a b3 classification I then had to have a vacuum assisted excision biopsy. I had this three weeks ago. I was supposed to get the results last week but they were not back so I was given an appointment for tomorrow. I am aware my local hospital breast clinic operates their MDT on a Monday morning but I received a call from the nurse at 17.12 this evening, there was no message and she made two attempts to call me, unfortunately I missed both calls. Would this be to deliver good news, a benign result, and if that was the case would it be so late in the day? I am very anxious that the results are still not in but then again why would I be called so late in the day to tell me this. I was told results would be given face to face but surely if it's benign they may just save me the trouble of attending clinic tomorrow and then that frees up an appointment for someone else?
