Hello,
I know nobody can give me answers here but I'm spinning out and would just like any advice. The doctors felt a mass in my mum's stomach in may so they sent her for an ultrasound and we were told it's fibroids and one is really big. So they referred to gynaecology and the guy we saw wasn't very good (he was old and didn't seem clued up about fibroids at all) but he sent her for an MRI because he said we need to get a better look at them to decide the course of action and if to make sure there's nothing sinister going on. Her blood test came back with raised CA125 levels which the GP said he would bet is because of her firboids. She had the MRI a couple of weeks ago and they initially gave her an appointment for results for late July but have brought it forward to the 7th which has all us worried and concerned. We were all so relieved when the GP told us it was fibroids but now we're back worrying it's cancer and with the appointment being brought forward we're thinking that can't be a good thing. I have to say I've been really impressed with the NHS and the speed at which this has moved but I'm concerned that the GP gave us news that wasn't correct and it's been a very up and down situation with out emotions.
Any advice would be so helpful. I know no one can provide answers until we go to the appointment on Tuesday but I'm struggling to sleep and eat as I'm sick with worry.
