I'm sorry to hear that your recent cervical screening appointment has left you feeling so anxious. It's good to hear that the nurse has already referred you to see the specialist after having some concerns, and hopefully you won't have to wait too long to see the specialist. 

It's natural to feel worried about what might have caused some of these symptoms but try to remember that there could be any number of causes, besides cancer, that could be responsible. 

We know that for many people, this period of waiting and uncertainty can be difficult. If it would help to chat things through with one of our cancer nurses before your appointment, you're most welcome to give them a call.
