Advise following ovarian cyst removal

I would like to know if anyone has been in the same position and it’s not been bad news.

recently had surgery to remove an ovarian cyst, this was sent off to be biopsied out of precaution.

I now have a telephone appointment with the oncology department.

what could this mean?

  • Hello Billybob200

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently been through surgery to remove an ovarian cyst. I hope that your post-op recovery has gone smoothly and that you're healing well.

It's understandable that you're feeling anxious ahead of your results appointment. There could be many reasons that you've been given a telephone appointment with the oncology department, so although it's easy for me to say, try not to worry too much. Hopefully when you speak with them, they will be able to give you some answers and reassurance.

In the meantime, if it would help to talk things through with one of our nurses, you're most welcome to give them a call. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

Keep in touch Billybob200 and let us know how you get on.

    Sending my best wishes,
