Sweating A Lot

Hi, I had a lot of blood tests done because I sweat soo much.  HRT is not really helping with this.  My Ca125 results came bacj today as 41.  My medical practical practise rekon I need an emergency ultra scan of pelvic area to rule out ovarian cancer.

I do sweat a lot, always have a bloated stomach but the rest of me is "normal" weight wise.  I do have Fibromyalgia , GERD, depression, IBS.  I started my periods when I was 10.  I am now 54 and havn't had my periods for 460 days.  Been on and off HRT last few years, it never has really agreed with me.  Have also had endometrises but managed to conceive my son naturally in 2003.  I was sterilized 2011, tubes cliped.

I am now very scared about this ovarian cancer maybe?

  • Hello Marsh1971Hello,

Thank you for coming here and sharing your story.  I can understand why you are worried but try if you can not to anticipate what it might be as there are so many things that could explain your symptoms or raised CA125 results other than ovarian cancer. This constant sweating must be rather inconvenient and it must have been especially hard for you recently in the hot weather.

I hope that you will find out soon what is causing this excessive sweating and that they will find a solution or treatment to improve this. It's good that your doctor is being thorough and even though it is a bit stressful to have to go through these additional tests like the pelvic ultrasound scan, at least it will help you have some definite answers. I hope that you won't have to wait too long to find out more and that it will all turn out to be nothing of concern.

Waiting for results and for some clarity is not easy and I thought I would share with you our helpful tips to help you cope during this anxious waiting time.

Keeping everything crossed for you that you get some answers and reassurance soon. There may be other members of our community who have experienced this before and who went through similar tests to try and figure out what was causing this excessive sweating and I hope they will be along shortly to share their story with you.

    Best wishes,
