39 and terrified after strongly suspicious lung Xray.

Absolutely terrified and unsure where to turn..

Had a respiratory virus in March 26 and was coughing up tiny blood clots (assumed as result of so much coughing as never normally get ill!), got much better after few weeks, but had ongoing tight chest. Start of this month respiratory symptoms began again, and again coughing very small amounts of blood and wheezing slightly.

Went to GP who gave 7 days antibiotics and referred for urgent chest Xray. 2 days after Xray GP called me back to say Xray looked suspicious for lung cancer and would do a 2 week wait referral.

I found the radiology report on my NHS app and it says 'well defined, rounded neoplasm seen (mass), atelectatic changes (partially collapsed lung) and left hilar lymph node enlarged.

Within a week my chest and back of left shoulder are sore and cough is more prevalent. Antibiotics reduced amount of blood I cough out but still getting flecks.

I am due a CT scan this Friday and I am beyond terrified and in turmoil. I have never smoked. I have 2 young children and I am beside myself about what this could mean for them and my husband.

Has anybody had similar Xray results and what did this mean for you after further tests?

Any young Mums diagnosed and what has life been like for you since?

Thank you in advance.
