MRI contrast scan results - 3.2cm Liver Lesion

I was referred on fast track as urology found a 3.2cm lesion on liver.  I had my MRI scan on 31 May and was told I would hear soon and to contact gastro in a week.  I contact them today to be told they haven’t received the report.  I contact radiology and the report hasn’t even been written. I am going out of my mind why is it taking so long.  Anybody else experienced this thank you

  • Hello Summergirl74,

I'm sorry to hear this has taken longer than expected but do keep chasing for updates. In the meantime, it's important to look after your wellbeing. When you’re worried that you may have cancer, it's natural to overthink and want answers quickly, but this can end up increasing anxiety rather than making you feel better. We have information around coping with waiting for news on our website, which could be useful in some way.

I hope that the report is done and that you hear from back from them soon.
