vin 3

Good evening everyone.

I have just joined this group as i want to find out more about my condition from other members who have been through it and also share my story. I was diagnosed with Vin 3 after a check up as i was bleeding on Hrt after 6 months. After biopsy i was told i had Vin 3 . Pre cancerous Vulva cells. I recently went for a day procedure to have a general aneasthetic  to have them removed. I was only 7 days ago . I am still in pain and feel tired all the time. Im not a good patient so i may have been overdoing it. I just wanted to hear about others experiences after surgery as i think at the moment i am being hard on myself. I havent been out or driven. Ive just managed to potter around now and again. I have pain where the cells were removed but also a dragging feeling when i walk. Is this normal.

  • Hello Karseahorse and welcome to Cancer Chat,

It's common for the skin to become sensitive and we have guidance around caring for your vulva after treatment on our website, where you'll also find a list of products to avoid that can cause irritation. I hope this is helpful and if there's anything you're particularly concerned about, do contact your clinic or hospital. We also have a free nurse helpline, if you'd prefer to have a confidential conversation with one of our team. You can call on 0808 800 4040 and lines are open 9 to 5 Monday to Friday.

I'm sure you'll be connecting with members in a similar situation in no time and please be kind to yourself and look after your wellbeing in the meantime.

    Best wishes to you,

    Moderator Anastasia
