Solid fixed lump right sided neck, with drenching sweats and extreme lethargy

Hi,

I'm new here and this is my first post,

I've had a right sided neck lump for 9+weeks with drenching sweats and extreme lathergy, I've had emergency bloods taken and I've to go for an urgent chest x-ray and also referred on the 2 week pathway to ENT, has anyone else had this?.

Thank you ALL so much..

  • Hello,

I'm also a newbie, with some similar symtoms of mouth, neck or throat cancer. I have a right-sided lump in my neck (two months) along with a very swollen right-sided tonsil. My throat is swollen and I haven't been able to swallow solid foods for three months. Very fatigued, nauseous, restless at night, with lots of saliva too!

Had a two-week referral to ENT, but the Registrar was incredibly dismissive and thought I was just being anxious. As if anxiety causes a lump in your neck or a swollen tonsil! I was devastated. Anyway, I made a complaint to PALs and they arranged a follow-up with a Consultant next week. Going to ask (again) for a full biopsy of my right tonsil and scans of my neck, but am nervous I'll be dismissed again. You are not alone with these symptoms.

I contacted the Mouth Cancer Foundation charity, who are lovely.

Trying to stay calm, but you know how it is.....
