Hi I've had 3 positive HPV smears..
Now on waiting list for colposcopy.
I've heard its very sore.
Anyone had it done and how was it ?
Do they tell you there the results of it ?

I've had a colposcopy.
It's not something anyone would wish to have of course,but I'm thankful such a procedure exists.
There were 2 female nurses and 1 male specialist at mine.
The nurses were so lovely and reassuring.
It's uncomfortable but I wouldn't say particularly painful.
I was a bit tearful afterwards so make sure you have somebody with you for support if possible.
My Boyfriend drove me and waited for me.
The Dr explained everything and told me what to expect,before,during and after.
