Hi I’m looking for some help. My mum has been having tests for possible metastatic kidney cancer spread to her lung. She has had breast cancer when she was in her 40’s, lung cancer in her 60’s and now in her 70’s she is facing this. She had a biopsy on her lung to confirm it is kidney cancer but her oncologist called earlier and said it has come back as a squamous cancer so she now has to have a biopsy on her kidney. He also said that sometimes this type of cancer can come from the breast. I’m at a total loss as to understand what cancer she has or if she has one type or two types and what can be done to treat it. If it was kidney cancer in both kidney and lung she was going to have immunotherapy and targeted therapy but now it’s all a blur again. I feel this is never ending for her with no plan. She was diagnosed in February. If anyone has been through anything like this or has any advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks x
