My 2 year old had a large lump appear on his neck with no other symptoms. It appeared withing s few hours and has now been there around 8 weeks.

He has had 2 blood tests, 4 weeks apart, which showed low white blood cells and lymphocytes (sp?)

He then had an ultrasound which showed basically all his neck lymp nodes are swollen but one being excessively swollen but it did not look classically like a cancerous lump so a repeat was ordered for 3 months time.

In this time (the 8 weeks) here has been no "illness".

Historically though he has a hard time shifting illness (but he is 2 and at nursery so i know this isnt a cause for alarm alone), complained of tummy pain with no real cause, is complaining of knee pain with no known injury, says the neck lump hurts.

I have now been told we have been referred to paeds so I can talk through my concerns bbutI just dont know what im supposed to do to advocate for him so that nothing is missed without forcing unnecessary test etc.
