Breast dimple? Normal or not? Anyone else?

Hi all, I am 37 year old with 2 beautiful girls aged 15 and 7. My breasts have always been fine and fairly pert so to speak. I have felt what I feel is a bit of “thickened” tissue on the upper right boob. I now have what can only be described as a dimple there, like a dimple you have on your face/cheeks. I know this is probably nothing but a small amount of doubt is creeping in.

I went to the GP and they have referred me to the breast clinic but they are slammed with referrals and I have mine in 2.5 weeks.

anyone experienced similar? Thank you in advance ️

  • Keep the appointment,  it's best to get it checked out.  I have a similar situation,  felt a thickening in my armpit towards the top of my breast. I mentioned it to the nurse when I had my mammogram and she said it all looked fine but to keep an eye on it. Fast Forward 10 months and I was getting undressed in front of the mirror which was unusual for me when I noticed a swelling to the to of my breast and a dimple.  It really made me panic especially as my partner had just been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer.  I saw my gp who referred me to the breast clinic, the appointment was 2 weeks later. They did another mammogram and a scan and have said that it is nothing but have picked up some calcium in my breast which they are going to keep an eye on.

I hope all goeswell for your appointment and the outcome x
