Positive FIT, normal calprotectin. Whole host of symptoms. Very concerned…

Recently done a FIT test which came back positive, calprotectin normal. I’ve been referred for colonoscopy which is later this week, but currently spiralling over what might be wrong and really need some support…

What made me go to the doctor was the unexplained weight loss (down 7kg since Feb despite not actively trying to lose weight and eating normal), plus nausea and loss of appetite in the last few weeks. I do eat though as I’m aware I need to. I’ve also had change in bowel habits - flipping between loose and constipation, plus a couple of occurrences of mucus and some blood when wiping. Tiredness is also a major one, sleep never makes me feel rested and most mornings I feel like I’m hungover (even though I haven’t been drinking!), as well as general bloatedness and stomach pains.

I’m really struggling at the moment. Most days I’m nauseous and tired, plus stomach cramps and constipation. I feel like I really need to poo, but then I go to the toilet and nothing happens. In terms of haemarrhoids or piles, I don’t get any pain in my bottom so I don’t think it’s that (or at least not near the entrance!) - also think the weight loss etc might be a bit dramatic for just that…?!

Has anyone had similar experiences? Did you manage to establish what was going on? I have read lots online but yet to find anyone experiencing all the symptoms I am…

I know I just need to wait for the colonoscopy, but it’s hard :(
