Hi all, I'm absolutely petrified. Diverticulosis diagnosed 2022 but had no issues til 4 weeks ago when woke with really bad stomach cramps, diarrhoea etc. Went to GP who did blood and stool samples. White blood count came back at 188 (should be 0-5) so she sent me to hospital. Stool samples positive 10ug. Had CT scan where they confirmed diverticulitis but also lesion on liver. I was put on 10 days antibiotics, had MRI scan the next day and a colonoscopy was booked for 28th May as they said my body needed 4 weeks recovery. Just had a phone call from the hospital saying they've found "something" on MRI scan and brought forward colonoscopy to this Friday. As you can imagine I am absolutely terrified.
