The waiting is awful. It feels lonely but Ive found this forum helps to feel others are out there. I try and follow others advice to keep distracted but the worry will be there til the answers are!

I'm in a similar position. I'm waiting for biopsy results from a hysteroscopy and another scan of ovaries. I was referred on the 2 week pathway in February for recurrent postmenopausal bleeding and have small cysts on both ovaries, 'thickened' lining, but no fibroids or polyps. I think (hoping) my mirena coil had failed to produce progesterone and that caused my bleeds (Im on hrt).There was a bit of a mess made of initial tests and appointments and wrong results so its taken longer.

Are you waiting for a hysteroscopy as well as biopsy? 

It feels like each little step or test is a bit closer to some clarity which will help us. Sorry I don't have anything more useful to say, but wishing you the best.

• Hello 50andhere. Thank you for your message. I had a biopsy yesterday. Consultant vague and very matter of fact. The waiting feels like never ending it is never not in your thoughts. Apparently they are edging on the side of caution to rule out cancer she did say you never reached the 12 month stage of not having your period and that the lining looks ok. The fibroids are not very big. Never offered me a coil, but did say to loose weight. Now a 2 week wait for results and driving myself insane. The internet and AI are not a help so am trying to stay off it! Yes this forum does help massively.
• I really hope you get answers soon especially as it has been going on for some time for you. The anxiety from February must be awful. Sending positive thoughts and best wishes for peace of mind. 

Hi, I just checked my nhs online gp notes and there's a letter on there saying my biopsy was normal, huge relief. They said 3-4 weeks but result on there in 2 weeks (I haven't had a letter yet). So just have the cysts rescan. I hope you don't have to wait long for your results, it was the worst part of this whole thing.

50andhere. That's fantastic news im really pleased for you. I hope your re scan goes well. Im still waiting and researching will be 1 week on Friday since my biospy. Feels like 5 years. Take care and thank you for responding.

Good to hear from you . Hope you are doing well . I think the last time you posted you were in Norfolk . Very brave to do camping , I did camping when younger , but definitely prefer my home comforts these days !

I had a lovely time in Northumberland and has been quite busy since I have been back .

No word from the hospital re my biopsy - but still another week to go until the 4 weeks are up . 
I appreciate that Maebelle may not have wanted to continue to chat/  be thinking about cancer after her all clear .

Yes Norfolk then 2 days camping to be honest im done in. The waiting is horrendous the worst thing ever one process then the next. Hang in there x

My wounds are nearly gone still doing pelvic exercises still tired a bit if over doing it, but grateful. 

Yes keep in touch especially approaching the 4 weeks and let me know. 

I need to go to Northumberland, but the drive puts me off from down here. Supposed to be beautiful... Xxxx
