Worried about secondary breast cancer

Hi, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2024, had chemo, mastectomy and radiotherapy. Have been in remission for 18 months, but have now developed peripheral neuropathy in my fingers. I saw the oncologist last week, who told me this is unusual after chemo finishing so long ago. He sent me for ct scan on my brain, which I had yesterday. Today I'm going for mri on my spine. I feel really anxious and afraid that I could have secondary breast cancer.

  • I remember your posts from 2024 Pippin ,I sincerely hope it is just a late reaction of peripheral neuropathy ,I'm sure it can happen although as your Oncologist said its unusual ,sending you my best wishes ..x

  • Thank you so much for your reply, I really hope it is just late side effects from the chemo. When I got appointment with oncologist, I thought they would just advise me on dealing with the neuropathy. Really did not expect to be going through all these scans again and waiting for results. Hope you are well and enjoying this lovely weather. Xx
