Lymph nodes in groin and left collarbone

I think im worried for nothing but need stories to calm me down or indeed validate my anxiety

Ive had hard fixed groin lymph nodes for approx 2 years, I can only feel one but when scanned there is multiple. The biggest being nearly 2 cm. They advised they think theyre not sinister

Then I went to ENT with hearing loss to find my adenoids are enlarged (apparently rare in adults) which i have steriods to try and shrink.

Pre my ENT app i found a pea sized hard fixed lump on left side neck just above collarbone, I told the ent consultant who referred me to get it ultrasounded which said it is a lymph node measuring 2mm x 3mm so yes tiny buts its still very much there

Can all 3 areas be enlarged, hard fixed and there is nothing to it ?

  • Hi Crazyalpaca,

I am so sorry this has caused you so much anxiety. It's reassuring that they have told you that this is nothing sinister after they scanned those lymph nodes. You did the right thing in telling the ENT consultant about this pea sized hard fixed lump on the left side of your neck just above the collarbone. I think it would be worth sharing your anxiety about these lymph nodes with your doctor or consultant and asking them to tell you whether there is nothing to worry about even if those 3 areas are enlarged. They will be able to tell you more and hopefully put your mind at rest that there is nothing of concern. If you feel that you are not getting clarity or answers, it's always worth getting a second opinion.

I hope that you will hear from other members of our community who have been through something similar in the past and that they will be along shortly to share their story with you.

Everything crossed for you that you get the reassurance you need on this and that it all turns out to be nothing concerning.

    Best wishes,
