Strange left sided symptoms in my breast and armpit - googled everything and fearing the worst

Hi, I’m having a total crisis and need some thoughts and opinions. For the past week and on and off for a few months I’ve been getting a numbness and tingling sensation down my left arm. The is sometimes accompanied by a full sensation in my armpit (although to touch it feels totally normal!) I’ve got a ridge of glandular tissue in the top of my breast but over the last 5 days ira become tender to touch. I have been palpating away numerous times to both my armpit and breast and now have a constant dull ache.

Ive googled absolutely everything and am now fearing the worst. I’ve been to the GP and have a breast clinic referral. I also have an mri head and neck booked to check for another other reasons for the arm sensations.

anyone had anything similar? I’ve research fibrotic tissue, mastaglia and various things but keep coming back to the big C as the answer. I’m terrified.

  • Hello Reb-hob1 and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry to hear about the symptoms you've been contending with over the last few months but I'm glad you went to your GP and now have some referrals in place.

We'll have our fingers crossed the results from the breast clinic and your head and neck MRI will finally be able to give you some answers and much deserved peace of mind.

I hope some of our members will offer their thoughts and advice to you soon, but in the meantime I hope this guide we have on how to cope with waiting for news will help to steady your nerves and keep you away from Google until you know more.

We're sending you all our support Reb-hob1 and hope this isn't the big C.

    Kind regards,

  • Hi

Although I cant offer any advice, I have been experiencing something similar and I know from experience its reassuring sometimes to here that you are not alone. Searching and searching the internet with noone to talk too can be lonely.

I started with a sore area on my right breast, around 10p in size that has felt like a fullness but when touched was sharp pain and felt like a bruise.
My symptoms have continued and I have a very sore armpit with a pea sized lump which isnt going away accompanied with pain in my shoulder, arm and burning tingling pains. I also have a referral with 2ww.

I hope everything goes well with you and you get positive outcomes.
