I'm sorry to hear you are awaiting the result of your telederm appointment. The staff that undertake this aren't trained to examine the photos, they are just trained to take the photos. It's the dermatologist who receives them that will take a close look & see if anything causes the need to see you in person & then decide if they are suspicious and need removing for a biopsy.

75% of patients seen by Dermatology are given a clean bill of health. Hopefully the photos don't give the dermatologist any cause for concern but if they ask you to come in for an appointment, don't panic. They don't usually remove them at the appointment but will arrange it for a later date. It's done under local anesthetic as a day patient & they may not remove all of them, only those they feel look suspicious (I've had 7 removed over the years & only 1 was melanoma).
