Hi,

I know I shouldn’t be googling my symptoms, but what i’m experiencing is completely abnormal for me and I guess I just wanted some comfort.

Ive been taking Desogestrel (mini pill) for almost 4 years because of my extreme painful periods and suspected endo. Had absolutely no issues, it stopped my periods altogether and it’s been amazing for me up until now.

2 weeks ago I started bleeding which I thought could be stress/anxiety related. 2 weeks on and I’m still bleeding despite never missing a pill and being less stressed. Accompanying this is severe abdominal bloating, a ‘pulling’ feeling in my ovaries/cervix, lower back pain, leg strain & very infrequent bowel movement. 

3 days ago I noticed there was blood when I wiped after going for a poo. It was definitely coming from my rectum - to double check I made sure to completely avoid wiping from the front. My poo was also very dark & difficult to pass.

I know it’s probably unlikely because of my age but I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. 

I have been to my doctor who did some tests & has referred me for a scan. She said she couldn’t really see my cervix because of blood clots etc. 

Has anybody experienced anything similar to this? I just want a bit of reassurance, I know it’s possible but I’m trying to remind myself it’s highly unlikely. I have also been vaccinated against HPV.
