How long is reasonable to wait for ct scan results. My fast track for bowel cancer started 26th January. Appointment to see consultant 5th February. CT scan 10th March.
Results from my last CT scan were made available in 3 weeks depends on how busy your local NHS is. I noted that the results were known after 10 days but had to wait for an appointment with consultant to have results explained face to face..This enabled me to ask questions. I would rather wait a bit longer than get the results quickly through the post. Although as we all know the waiting is the worst bit in the process.
Thank you for your reply. I did ask the nurse ( not the radiologist) when would I hear anything. She sais a few days. But your reply makes sense having to wait for an appointment.
