Colonoscopy in 2 weeks time - GP is looking towards IBD but I fear it could be something worse

Hi, I am booked for a colonoscopy in 2 wks, I have been experiencing diarrhoea, blood, mucus, pain and extreme exhaustion. My gp is looking more towards ibd but I have a feeling of something swollen inside my left abdomen I have had this discomfort for over a year but now with the other symptoms I fear it could be Something more serious. Has anyone experienced this? I can't feel anything from outside it's inside if I move or lay or even sitting feels like I am pushing on something swollen. Hope this makes sense any advice xx

  • Welcome to the forum Z123 although I'm sorry about the symptoms you've been contending with. It sounds like you've been having a very tough time of late.

    I know how worrying this must be but fingers crossed your colonoscopy will be able to give you some much needed answers and peace of mind.
