Lump found in armpit - waiting for referral to get a second opinion. I'm so anxious and mentally drained

Hello, I’m wondering if anyone can give some help/advice or been down the same path

I found a kind of grain shape lump in my armpit in Nov and had it scanned and told it was a lymph node but I wasn’t unwell. It’s been there since.. I’ve had another referral made for review again for second opinion.

I am tired all the time but I am a mum of a 6 year old living alone so I am a tired mumma, and work a very busy full time job. I have noticed that there are some dips in my boob and also lumpy bits near the edge of my boob but no defined large lump apart from the under my armpit 

I am so anxious, I’m not my self, I’ve lost my spark and waiting for my app. I find myself having less patience with my boy and mentally drained x

    I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling so worried about a lump that you found a few months ago in your armpit. It's good to hear that the initial scan you had at the time didn't give any immediate cause for concern, but given that you're so worried about it, it's good to know that you've been referred for a second opinion. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long and the hospital will be able to give you some reassurance. 

    We know that for many people this period of waiting and uncertainty can be really stressful. It's understandable that this has a knock-on effect on your mood and energy levels. We have some tips and advice for how to cope with waiting for news but in the meantime I wonder if it might help you to chat things through with one of our nurses.
