Ent referral has been made after having on-going symptoms since Jan. My appointment is in a weeks time and I have this gut feeling that something is wrong

Never thought I would have to write in such a forum..but am looking for advice and reassurance I suppose.

I have had ongoing symptoms since jan. It started with a feeling of a lump in my throat, struggling to swallow etc. So went to the gp and got referred for a endoscopy. Which came back clear.

My problems still persisted which then became a sore throat and an ache in the back of my throat. Went to the gp and given antibiotics for strep throat.

Now I still have a sore throat. The feeling of a lump in my throat. Dry mouth right at the back. A sore neck earache. And occasionally pains in my chest.

Went back to the gp and have now been referred to ENT and have my appointment in a weeks time. Its a cancer referral and im *** myself. Im not even 40 and have 2 children. But previously smoked And I have this gut feeling that something is wrong.
