Omental biopsy results - taking weeks

I had surgery 5 weeks ago to remove a mass from my ovary & my fallopian tube. I also had an acidic drain and omental biopsy at the same time for suspected cancer but I’m still awaiting the results, I will phone when I can to chase hopefully this week but wondered if anyone had waited this long for their results and for them to come back as normal?

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear you've been waiting so long for the biopsy - I know it's never easy dealing with uncertainty like this.

    I'm not sure if you've called since posting here, but as you mention, it would be a good idea to give them a call to check if there's any update and if not, how much longer you should expect to wait.

    I hope you're able to get the information you need soon, and in the meantime we're always here if you need it.

    Thanks Ben, I’ve been in touch with my GP today and they advised they’re still waiting on the results. I’m going to give the hospital a call tomorrow to see if they can give a time frame estimate
