I went for colonoscopy jan 2025. Had to be abandoned

Prep didn't work properly. Pain was too much. Ive been told ill get a letter for about 6 weeks time to try again.

I dont know what went wrong, how do I improve it?

Surgeon said I was constipated. Next time he's asked me to try sennakot.

I'm sorry to hear that your recent colonoscopy appointment had to be abandoned as bowel prep wasn't completed. It's not uncommon for this to happen, and please don't feel that you did anything wrong.

When you receive the next appointment letter, you may be asked to try an extended bowel prep to make sure that the examination is successful this time around. You can read more about preparing for a colonoscopy on our website.
