Still waiting

3weeks since biopsy on lungs....i emailed secretary last week to be told I was to be discussed at mdt meeting which i believe is either Monday or tuesday - she said i would be contacted once they had anything to tell me...I asked were the mdt's every week and she said she 'thought' they were,should she not know for sure? 

My mind is in overdrive and feel that this is just never ending..

Any thoughts?

    Cancellation is no fun.  My original date was cancelled the day before because of the junior doctors strike before Christmas.  Fortunately the rescheduled date was honoured.  Good luck.

    Glad your op went ahead..Mine was lack of itu bed in november - op should be on neck tumours - benign in jan 25,was to be monitored originally,but tumours grew,so op promised October,but also needed lastics to deal with area where tumours to be removed,anyway all arranged for nov 20,went to brum night before and on way for ct and mri to check blood supply in head etc got a call to cancel,still d scan,move forward another couple of weeks and lung spots picked up on ct which they think were there in jan 25  .so had biopsy 3weeks ago and still no word back,so now almost 3months after cancell op im no further forward and I can tel these lumps have grown... Just feelinh like life's leaving me and hubby behind now,we're 62 and hubby is a fit and active 74... weve so much we want to do.. i sure im not alone in feeling this and there are some people who will think im bad to complain .... Just needed a rant today x

    Hi. Not bad. How are you. Just the waiting game which plays havoc with your mental health. Spoke to the cancer co-oridnator and she said 4 weeks was a long time to wait for the dirt appointment with the oncologist so she is trying to get earlier appointments for a couple of people, so who knows. Hope you’re having a good weekend.

    Hi. Just trying to keep busy and keep my mind occupied really. One weeks seems to have gone so slow. So another 3 is going to ba slog before I get to see anyone. How are things for you.

    Hi good morning.... the waiting is so long or its seem so..please let me know if you get any news .

    I had a call with my consultant yesterday - looks like my lung spots are the same type of things as my neck tumours - they arent causing any symptoms yet,so he wants to crack on and get my neck tumours out as they are as he put it 'acting more like a cancer' so the plan is once i get a date in a few weeks (hopefully) to get together with plastics who will cover the gap the tumours will leave in necknand then once im healed,I will have some radiotherapy...

    He explained that there are lots of veins and dangerous bits that he will have to sort out so as not to cause any long term nerve damage or stroke etc..... 

    We both feel better knowing more now,even though its scary...

    Glad you have got some sort of plan to work towards now, it must feel like it’s more proactive. I think it always feels worrying when they chat as they always give the best and worse scenario.  Think it’s always the fear of the unknown too. I will feel better once any form of treatment starts. Let me know how things keep moving. And I will keep you updated if I hear anything too
