I totally agree, I am newly diagnosed with rectal  cancer at beginning of January. Had all my tests and scans. Had a teams meeting with the surgeon who didn’t really tell me much other than that the growth is bigger than they expected. Sending me to oncology. Just got a letter appointment with them for 4 weeks time. Seems forever. I just want to get on and start some sort of treatment. The waiting is the hardest, as I have read that most people say this 

I do hope you hear soon and you can start to move forward.....I wonder if the docs understand this side of things.

I was due an op in Nov 25 on 2 benign tumours in my neck found in jan 25...

My op was cancelled at 3.30 the day before as they had no uti bed for me..while at hospital anyway day before I had ct and mri done,got called back in to have another ct with dye and a chat with consultant who said scan had picked up 3 spots on lungs which depending on biopsy result how he would go about myneck op....so all in all im here over 12months later and not had anything done........

I know there are people in different and much worse position than myself but please just 'crack on'... 

Oh my,  that’s ages to be waiting, it feels very lonely even when you have family around. You must be very frustrated. Having your op cancelled at last minute is awful.   I am still in shock with it all to be honest. I haven’t been told what stage I am or anything. Just that thankfully it hasn’t spread to my liver or lungs. Just that it’s bigger and pushing up into the pelvic cavity. I just thought oh my god. Think my husband was more in shock than me when he gave the best scenario and the then the worse scenario. I have to have radiotherapy then chemo to hopefully shrink it first the a big op. So this 4 week wait is driving me mad. Every twinge I think oh is it spreading. Even if treatment makes me feel awful. At least I will be feeling awful knowing hopefully something is working. 

Oh my word,I do hope things get moving for you very soon...

 Thats what my hubby and myself think - that 'knowing something' is happening,rather than the 'what ifs' is just awful.

When are you due back for your appointment? 

Not till 10th March. So trying to keep my mind occupied.
