Feedback from PET Scans - private company I had mine with sent an email asking for this just hours after I had my procedure

I had a PET scan yesterday, think it’s at least my second and maybe my third. I get the consultant to do me a sedative as I am claustrophobic  & that helped. But after 6 hours of fasting, feeling a bit woozy from the sedative, you just want to get home. But I was stunned to find an e-mail from them asking for feedback, they are a private company, so maybe a bit over zealous. But I really think this is out of order, when you’re worried about what the results might be??

    I'm glad to hear your PET scan went o.k, although I'm sorry about the email you received just hours after having this done. As you say, it's the last thing you want to be, or will be, thinking about when you've just got back home.

    I'm not sure if you have provided them with your feedback since making this post but if not, maybe you could share your thoughts with them about this so they are aware of the impact this may be having on their patients.

    If any of our members have encountered something similar then I hope they share their thoughts and experiences with you soon but in the meantime, we hope all goes well with your results.

    I wouldnt read too much into it. The feedback emails are just automatically sent out once details of your scan are entered as completed on their system. Our NHS also use a private company for some of the scans. Last weeks scan had an email arrive as I was leaving the clinic. You are not obliged to answer them but you could leave feedback about your concern. I was also handed a questionnaire to complete as I left the scanner room which I left blank .
