Left breast and armpit pain

Hi I have had left breast and armpit pain for over 2 months now armpit feels like somethings under it like my clothes are bunched up under my armpit. 8 have a breast ultrasound booked for March but I'm so sick of this pain everyday it's like a dull ache stinging doctor suggested costocondritis as I have had upper back and shoulder pain too anyone else suffered like this i am go ogling all of the time and scaring myself thankyou

    Hi Sunynat,

    A very warm welcome to our forum. I am sorry to hear about your symptoms and understand your concerns. It is good to hear that you have a breast ultrasound booked to get this investigated. This does sound as if it could be costochondritis, as pain seldom accompanies breast cancer. We usually advice people to steer clear of consulting "Dr Google" while waiting for a diagnosis. Much of the information is poorly researched, out of date and aimed at the more spectacular cases. This will not give you any answers and will only serve to scare you further.

    You might find it helpful to type costochondritis into the search box at the top of this page. This will bring you to other posts on the subject. I sincerely hope that nothing untoward is found with your ultrasound and that you get a definite diagnosis and cure. Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Hi jolamine tha you it's just the pains so intense in my breast and armpit. I have joined a costocondritis support group many women do have the same symptoms as me it's just so scary as I haven't ever had breast pain or armpit pain before thankyou for replying x

    What have you been given for the pain? If this is not working, you need to contact your GP again to get something more effective.
