Could I have cancer elsewhere?

I had a colonoscopy and they found something that the consultant said was 50-50. He took biopsies and I have had CT and MRI scans. I have an awful feeling that it maybe secondary and I have a primary cause somewhere else as they were checking my liver and other areas with the scans.
