Have recently found a lump in my right breast at the top, more on the sternum. Had a GP examination today and he said he 'doesn't think it's cancer' but has referred me onto the 2WW pathway. He said my breast tissue is very dense so couldn't be certain.

What i wanted to ask is if there is anyone that has ever been told similar by a GP to later be confirmed with Cancer? i'm only 27 so i know statistically my chances are already lower but i'm really concerned as can't think what else it would be. it's very firm, completely immovable and does not have a circular edge. it's irregularly shaped and almost blends into the tissue on one side where i can't feel much of an end.

Any insight to others experiences in similar situations would be soo helpful! It's not even the diagnosis that's worrying me, it's the not knowing.
