Hi so I’ve had a lump on my upper outer thigh kind of near my bum. I noticed it maybe about a year ago but never thought anything of it as it’s more like a bump rather than a lump if that makes sense. It’s quite small and feels hard, and has a slightly darker colour. The doctor said it feels like maybe a lipoma. I went for an ultrasound scan on Tuesday and was told on Thursday to make an appointment with my Dr to discuss the results. I spoke to the doctor today (Friday) and she said they are unsure what it is and that a smaller sized one which I can’t feel has been found next to it. I’ve been referred to a dermatologist so that they can investigate further. My appointment isn’t until two weeks time and I am so worried! It doesn’t hurt and hasn’t grown in size at all, if so very little. Sometimes I feel like I can feel it and feel a slight burning sensation but that’s just when I’m thinking about it and worrying about it otherwise I don’t really feel anything, so maybe I’m just imagining the pain. Has anyone else been in the same situation where they went for an ultrasound scan and was told they don’t know what it is and then been referred elsewhere or had a similar bump/lump.
