I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with some health concerns at the moment. It's good to know that you've already seen your GP and that at this time they feel your symptoms are the result of a virus. 

Obviously, at this time of year, there are lots of nasty bugs doing the rounds. According to the NHS website, antibiotics aren't effective in treating a virus so it may be that this is why you're not yet feeling better. However, if things don't improve, then it would seem sensible to make another appointment with your GP so that  you can chat through your concerns with them and they can arrange any further tests or treatment. In the meantime, you can always talk with your local pharmaist about pain management and options to help soothe your sore mouth.
