Axillary tail of spence - not sure what to do about symptoms

Good morning,

Christmas eve, I noticed my auxillary tale of spence was more apparent than the other side (nothing on other ide). It remains the same size, however, unsure whether because of prodding- it is uncomfortable and feels gristly when press in hard. It is soft to touch lightly. I am unsure whether I am fixated on it which is making it more noticable to me.

Today I started my period- when googling it says it can enlarge on the run up to starting period- but I can't remember if I have noticed i before? what should I do? watch and wait? my mum had breast cancer.

thanks for reading

  • Hi S_ammy,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. If you have any concerns, it's best to give your GP a call as they are best placed to advise.

You may find it helpful to make notes of anything you notice, or any changes. This can help you to notice anything different, and may mean you don't prod or check it too often. It can also be useful to help with talking things through with the doctor if you make an appointment.

    Best wishes,
