I had the right side of my thyroid, isthmus and a lot of lymph nodes removed at the end of November due to a thy3f nodule. Saw consultant last week to get results but told not back yet. Saw GP this morning for unrelated problem and asked if she could see anything and she could. She gave me very vague answers and said ‘its unclear what it is but high chance its sinister’ and wouldn’t tell me anything more. I’ve contacted the hospital to try and get a call from my surgeon/team as now I’m really panicking. What could this mean? Could it be a prelim report and needs further testing? I never thought pathology/histology could be unclear at this stage following removal. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
