Hi everyone. I went to my GP on Monday with pain in my left breast which Ive had for about a month. Mostly sharp short stabbing but sometimes dull, burning or tingling. She said it felt different to the other breast and felt inflamed. The report said she felt a firm inflamed mass. Sent me for urgent cancer suspected referral. 
I am beside myself, can’t eat, can’t sleep, constantly googling things, panic attacks. I’m 43 with 3 children and practically a single mum. My sons lost their dad to MND this time last year and I really don’t think they could deal with me being poorly. So much going around in my head and I can’t seem to think anything positive. Like I’m in a tunnel of doom. 
the waiting is awful, phoned clinic and because of Xmas it could be 4 weeks. Not sure how I’m meant to feel like this for that long. 
has anyone else has similar findings at GP and it’s turned out benign?  Thanks for reading.
