Two lumps found?

Sorry I feel like i'm going out of my mind and really don't want to worry any of my friends and family... so I thought I'd post here.

Last week I found a lump on my breast, not big but tiny, struggling to see how i've missed it before. I did the right thing called the doctor  and got seen straight away. The Gp examined me and she found a second lump in my arm pit, I hadn't noticed that either.

I wasn't worried one bit until the doctor found a second lump.

I have an appointment on Thursday, which feels like a life time away. I'm 39 and a mum of 3 young kids.

My question is.... Is it possible it's just nothing? Having 2 lumps is that more of a chance it's not a good outcome. I know that no one can give me a proper answer, I guess I'm just trying to find someone that's had something similar to me and i'm just trying to get everything that's going around in my head out. Apologies if you've made it this far into my post. x

  • Hello Lnice

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently had some concerns about your breast health. It's good to know that you've already seen your GP and that you have an appointment with the breast specialists later this week.

We know that for many people, this period of waiting and uncertainty can be difficult. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious about things. It may help to know that the large majority of people who are seen in breast clinics are not diagnosed with cancer. Hopefully, the team will be able to give you some reassurance when you see them on Thursday.

In the meantime, if it would help to chat things through with one of our nurses, you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can.

Do let us know how you get on at your appointment.

    Best wishes,
    Jenn
