  • Hi Ash77 and a warm welcome to Cancer Chat,

You did well to go to the GP when you noticed you had this brown discharge and stomach pains and it's good that they did a thorough examination and you were referred for a scan. I can imagine this is a worrying time for you and that you are worried about having to do the CA125 test. Try not to worry too much though - as you will see on our page on the CA125 test, the levels of CA125 can be raised for all sorts of reasons.

I hope that you won't have to wait too long to see the specialist and to get your blood test results as it's often the long wait that causes uncertainty and such anxiety and you will hopefully feel better once you have had some clarity as to what is causing these issues.

Other members of our community will have been in a similar situation and I hope that they will be along shortly and share their experience with you.

I am keeping everything tightly crossed for you that it all turns out to be nothing to worry about.

    Best wishes,
