Bowel cancer worries

Hi,

I’ve been having some bowel issues since being pregnant and having my baby who is 5 months old. I am breastfeeding which I know means I need to drink more but sometimes (more often than not) I forget! So since having my baby I have had the consistency of being constipated but still going regularly. I went to the doctor as I noticed red blood when I was wiping. The doctor did quite a thorough exam and said she couldn’t see anything and assumed it was a fissure or internal haemorrhoid, gave me movicol, some suppositories and sent me on my way. It seemed to work, it all softened up then when I came off the movicol I had two weeks of on and off stomach ache which did then fade. The last two days I realised I hadn’t been to the toilet so last night I had a movicol. Today I’ve been and again saw bright red blood when I wiped and on my stool. Now I’m paranoid, wondering whether I should go back to the doctors or try and eat/drink better for a few days and see what happens. I do have health anxiety and can’t stay off dr google. My mum died of cancer at 25 so I feel like I am always looking for something to be wrong! I do have a blood test tomorrow for something else and the doctor said there’s no point in a fit test if I can see the blood. Should I trust the doctor and see what happens over the next few week or go back? Sorry for rambling!
