Lump on cervix but consultant couldn’t feel it

I have a lump on my cervix. I can feel it if I put my finger in my vagina - it’s a smooth hard bump kind of at the 8 o clock position if you imagine my cervix is a clock. I sometimes (sorry TMI) experience constipation and pushing on the back vaginal wall helps ease out the poo, hence why I have felt my cervix. I’ve done this a few times and I know the lump wasn’t there 6 months ago.

I went to the GP who performed a speculum exam and said they could see an inflamed area and referred me for a colposcopy. But the consultant said he couldn’t see anything abnormal, he tried feeling the lump with a finger too and asked if I was sure I wasn’t just feeling poo through the vagina wall. I’m definitely not, I know what that feels like, I know what my cervix feels like, and this lump is new. But he basically said there was nothing there and the colposcopy showed a normal cervix.

i know I should be reassured but how can he be sure it’s nothing if he didn’t even feel the lump or believe it was there? He has referred me for a scan (I assume ultrasound?) to double check, but instead of feeling reassured I just feel gaslit and dismissed and none the wiser.

I don’t have any other symptoms like irregular bleeding which I guess is a plus but I’m concerned something is wrong and it’s just been missed. Any advice on what to do next would be most welcome.
