Potential melanoma

Good afternoon 

Have a sibling who's had a mole that had been growing and bleeding. Went to go and referred in cancer pathway. 
At first appointment they revived it there and then and sent for blood tests. Forward 5 weeks and has an appointment to discuss results . But the y rang and said was booked for x ray at weekend and mri  next week. 
Have had melanoma 2A myself, so really concerned when they sending for scans when we don't even no the results.

    I'm sorry to hear that your sibling is currently going through some investigations for a potential melanoma adiagnosis. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious about the fact that additional tests have been requested. 

    Hopefully when your sibling sees the specialist they will be in a position to answer to give a clear diagnosis and offer some reassurance.

    Hi Jean 

    unfortunately results came back from biopsy and they are treating it as stage 4 melanoma ( there will be scans in the next couple of weeks , so will have to wait to see what the results are.

    I'm sorry to hear this news. Hopefully the specialists will be able to offer some reassurance when all the scan results are in.

    I understand melanoma as I was 2a and just finished my 5 year checks.
