Hi all,
Hoping this is okay to ask…
I had an abdominal ultrasound recently because of raised liver enzymes. The scan found a ‘32 × 19 mm well-defined lesion in the right lobe of liver’. The report described it as iso-/hypoechoic with no significant vascularity and said the appearance is ‘highly suspicious of malignancy’, so I’ve been referred urgently for further tests.
I know ultrasound can’t give a definite diagnosis and I’m trying not to panic before I have more tests but every time I look at my children I just cry. I’m also someone that likes to know what I’m facing and deal in facts… so this isn’t helping my anxiety it doesn’t help the report also states ‘patient seems likely to have a new diagnosis of cancer which has not been noted in the clinical details.’
Has anyone here had a liver lesion that looked suspicious on ultrasound but ended up being benign?
I’d really appreciate hearing others’ experiences while I wait.
Thank you in advance
