Evening all,
3 ish weeks ago I noticed/felt a lump in my breast and got it checked out and was put on the 2ww pathway. The GP reassured me it was just a precaution due to my family history (my aunt had double mastectomy in her 40s, my father died of NHL before 50, and my mum had a breast tumour removed). Apart from a dull ache/twinges, there were no other symptoms and because I'm in my 30s he said it could be fibroadenoma.
My appointment is on the 1st so I haven't got long to wait, but I'm just a bit thrown tonight as I was thinking "yeah probably nothing but better to be safe!" And I looked in the mirror tonight and the breast in question looks like it's shifted over to the middle of my chest (lump is on the outer side). And there was a yellow crust in the nipple. I removed it and squeezed to see if anything came out and it didn't but when I looked again 10 mins later there was more yellow crust/gunk. It could be the lighting is different and I didn't remove all the crust the first time, but if not - can cancer change the breast that quickly? Starting to feel less positive now and I'm actually giving it some thought whereas for the past couple of weeks I've just tried to ignore it/get on with my life.
