Hi all, new here, trying to well not sure what I'm trying.
I first had a colonoscopy in 2023, after the home stool test found traces of blood, on that visit they removed 3 polyps, I had my 2nd colonoscopy at the beginning of March 2025, at a different clinic where they found 2 small polyps and removed them, she then moved on to the caecum part of my colon where she found a large 2.5cm polyp which had like 3 parts to it and grown over a colon flap.
She said she couldn't remove it as it was too big and grown over the flap, it would need a specialist within the trust to perform it, and she said must be followed up within one month
I heard nothing, contacted my doctor who told me it was nothing to with them, I contacted the clinic that did the colonoscopy they said it was nothing to do with them, I contacted the Hospital trust and they said they had no appointment referral for me, this went round in circles.
I complained to PAL, still nothing, I tried the Hospital one more time to be told the same thing, no referral, I asked if she could just check the system, then I heard oh my God it's here it says must be followed up within one month, I will send this to the relevant people.
I now have an appointment for December to have a EMR colonoscopy if it's possible.
- My stools are sometimes black as coal and stick, sometimes like dark cornflakes, I have pain in my right lower abdomen, loads of wind feel really lethargic, so I'm wondering if anyone going through this has had any of my symptoms, I'm just worried as the picture of the polyp looks like some pictures I've seen of colon cancer.
