im a 65 year old male who was prescribed mounjaro at the end of february this year due to been a big lad, i have lost 5 stone just over, thats the good news, i have struggled with constipation all the time ive been on the 'wonder drug' which is perfectly normal, however 8 month down the line i started going the other way, 11 days of horrendous diarrhoea , i went to my GP and had a test which included a test in my back passage so i said, while im here do the test for prostate, which he did, i was told the prostate was slightly enlarge but of no concern for my age. then given 3 sample jars, one for urine and the fit test and another blue top for stool sample and to have a blood test which was fine. to be honest ive had 2 fit test sent in the past and not done them, after all i dont want to mess with poo, i was a coal miner, we didnt mess with stuff like that , a warning to others, GET THOSE TESTS sent in.

Anyway this was on the friday, my wife then took them to the doctors on the monday,  then had a phone call from my GP on the friday to say my fit test results had come back extremely high ( no numbers mentioned ) i asked her what the worse case scenario was and was told 'bowel cancer' she said i had been referred to the hospital, to be fair they contacted me within days, i was told to do 2 more stool samples and get them back in, this was done and again my GP called me to say the blue top result wasn't back but the fit test was again extremely high, i was sent the moviprep and been taking senokot for 5 days, i go for my colonoscopy tomorrow morning, the moviprep is prepared and just had a omelette for my last meal. so in a 3 week period gone from happy go lucky bloke to not looking forward to what is to come.
