Worried

Asking for advice: melomona skin patient, 3 lesions found in liver & a mass found in lining of tummy? Got a scan end of week but lost weight, chronic fatigue, pain in tummy, skin gone pale, feeling sick hardly any appetite. Obv my concern is the lesions and mass are cancer and has spread from melomona? Any advice please, thankyou

  • Hello Albie12

I'm unsure from your post if you are the patient or a loved one. Either way, I'm sorry to hear about the situation. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious ahead of the scan later this week. Hopefully, the specialists will be able to share some news about these lesions and symptoms before too long.

If you'd like to talk things through with one of our team of nurses, you can call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can.

Keep in touch Albie12 and let us know when you have some news. We're here for you.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi all, after having blood tests yest results are showing that its highly likely that its liver & pancreatic cancer. Hubby as his ct scan tom to see stages & grades, theres a meeting on monday and our consultation on wednesday to discuss results and the next steps, however if correct we do believe that to be in so much pain, pancreatic cancer is advanced. Thankyou for all your replies, kind regards ( any one else been in our position?)

  • Hi at the min we are just waiting for wednesday to come, to give us answers as to grades & stages. Hubby in so much pain daily, we are hoping and praying it isnt advanced but all his symptoms suggest it is, because the later stages of pancreatic only then present themselves threw pain.                       Kind regards

  • Hello Albie12

I hope that Wednesdays appointment brings some clarity and the team can give you some reassurance about the next steps.

Do let us know how you get on. We'll be thinking of you both.

    Best wishes,

  • Hello Albie12

I'm so very sorry to hear that your husband passed away just a few short weeks ago. I can't begin to imagine how difficult things have been for you since the beginning of this year. Through all your previous posts, I can sense how much you loved and cared for him. I do hope that you have family and friends around you at this difficult time who can provide some support and comfort.

Grief is a natural process, but it can be devastating. I know that many people who have posted here in the Cancer Chat community previously have found it helpful to reach out for some bereavement support from organisations such as Maggie's, Cruse or Sue Ryder

There are times when things will feel overwhelming Albie12. If it helps to have a safe space to put down in writing how you're feeling, then please do continue to post. We're here for you.

On behalf of the whole Cancer Chat team, please accept our deepest condolences.
