Aswell as waiting for mole results now breast lump biopsy aswell

Hi,

I have posted previously regarding two moles I had removed, im 2 weeks into a 6 week wait for my results. But a month ago I found a lump in my breast.

I have had a Fibroadenoma before so haven't been concerned, went to the breast care centre today had a ultrasound and biopsy taken. Its 3cm long and she said she thinks its a fibroadenoma but they need to be sure and seemed concerned with how big it had got so quickly.

I am probably being paranoid but I have come away with a really bad gut feeling!! I only have to wait until next Thursday but its just how she was talking has made me feel like its serious.

has anyone else had what they thought was a Fibroadenoma and it turned out to be cancer?

With the added stress of waiting for these results on my moles its all really starting to get to me now

    I'm sorry to hear that, following a recent mole biopsy, you're now having to wait for results from the breast clinic as well. It's understandable that this might all feel overwhelming. 

    It's good to know that the breast specialists didn't have any immediate cause for concern and that their initial thoughts are that this is a fibroadenoma. Hopefully the results next week will bring some reassuring news, and then it will be just a case of waiting for news from the dermatology team. 

    We know that for many people, this period of waiting and uncertainty can be really difficult.
